New harm reduction materials for queer clubbers launched

New harm reduction information on five of the most commonly used club drugs has been launched in a partnership between The Love Tank and Antidote at London Friend.

The online and offline information on cocaine, GHB/GBL, ketamine, MDMA and mephedrone provides information on how to reduce harm when using these substances, and where to access further information and support.

Dr Ben Weil, Head of Research and Community Knowledge Generation at The Love Tank says:

"Research published by The Love Tank earlier this year showed that queer people wanted more accessible harm reduction information about the drugs people use. This work in partnership with Antidote is one step in the process of implementing the findings of our community-based research."

Dr Leo Pavam, Head of Development and Outreach at The Love Tank says: "

This new information supports the pilot work we're undertaking in our Sex Drugs and Care For All programme. We're working within the communities we are from to ensure that everyone has harm reduction information and support at our finger-tips."

The information can be viewed at www.queerhealth.info/sdc4all and will be available at queer venues. Printed copies are available by emailing outreach@thelovetank.info
