HIV and PrEP training for South London primary care staff

The Love Tank is launching a new HIV awareness and prevention training programme for primary care staff in Lambeth, Lewisham, and Southwark.

The four-module training programme aims to increase primary care practice's awareness of contemporary HIV issues, and to ensure practitioners are able to make appropriate referrals to London-wide and South London specialist services and support.

Dr Leo Pavam, Head of Development and Outreach at The Love Tank says:

"The modules not only increase awareness of new developments in HIV treatment, care and prevention, they also increase cultural competency in meeting the HIV needs of key South London populations."

Dr Will Nutland, Director of The Love Tank says:

"At a time when HIV testing and prevention continues to move into community settings, this training assists primary care to navigate people into appropriate HIV services. This includes assisting primary care to navigate people towards both online and clinic-based HIV PrEP services".
